Welcome to our information site on Alpujarran villages
Nestling in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of Southern Spain, with views to Morocco, you will find the tiny white villages of the Alpujarras and Sierra de Contraviesa. Clinging to the mountain sides like little lumps of sugar, you will find all the history of Andalucia within their walls and twisting streets.
Flat roofed berber houses, running water feeding ancient terraces, flower festooned balconies, and some of the most stunning scenery and cleanest air in Europe.
Read on...explore.....follow the postings to discover more about individual villages, their history, fiestas, folklore and traditions.
Enjoy!
